How to become a public adjuster in Idaho
Idaho requires a public adjuster license. There is no statutory fee cap; the surety bond is $20,000 bond or letter of credit; the governing law is Idaho Code § 41-5801 et seq. (bond § 41-5812).
The pathway
Getting licensed in Idaho
The license is the Public Adjuster. It is its own license, so make sure any course or exam you book is the public adjuster one and not the company or independent adjuster version. Issued by the Idaho Department of Insurance under the Public Adjuster Licensing Act, Idaho Code Title 41, chapter 58. Independent adjusters are licensed separately under chapter 11.
