The pathway
Getting licensed in Oregon
The license is the Public Adjuster. It is its own license, so make sure any course or exam you book is the public adjuster one and not the company or independent adjuster version. Issued by the Oregon Division of Financial Regulation. Since 2025-08-01 (Permanent Order ID 5-2025) the public adjuster license is governed by its own rules, OAR 836-071-1100 to 836-071-1195, and is limited to first-party property claims excluding personal and commercial auto lines.
