How to become a public adjuster in Arizona
Arizona requires a public adjuster license. There is no statutory fee cap; the governing law is A.R.S. §§ 20-321, 20-321.01.
Arizona has no separate public adjuster license; anyone adjusting for an insured must hold the Arizona adjuster license. No bond or fee cap is set by statute.
The pathway
Getting licensed in Arizona
The Arizona Department of Insurance and Financial Institutions issues the Adjuster license. Arizona uses one adjuster license for company, independent and public adjusters; you declare which you are on the application. Arizona issues a single Adjuster license (A.R.S. §§ 20-321, 20-321.01) covering anyone paid to adjust claims 'on behalf of an insurance company or insured'; DIFI notes 'public adjuster' is only a descriptive term, not a separate license class.
